Don’t miss Marsden Hartley: American Modern at the Naples Museum of Art in Naples, Florida. This show ends January 11, 2008. 217 Films documentary Visible Silence: Marsden Hartley, Painter and Poet has been included as part of the exhibit to give patrons a multi-media experience of Hartley’s life and work. Marsden Hartley: American Modern has been touring the United States and is organized by the Frederick R.Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.

Visible Silence was written, directed and narrated by Michael Maglaras and produced by Terri Templeton of 217 Films. The filmmakers screened their first work, Cleophas and His Own, at the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum in 2006. The installation at the Naples Museum of Art marks the first time their work has been shown in Florida.
