In 2008, Michael Maglaras had the honor of reading poetry by Annie Finch before an audience at the Maine Festival of the Book in Portland, Maine. More about Annie Finch:
Annie Finch is the author or editor of fifteen books of poetry, translation, and criticism. Her book of poetry Calendars was shortlisted for the Foreword Poetry Book of the Year Award and in 2009 she was awarded the Robert Fitzgerald Award. She lives on the Maine coast near Portland where she directs the Stonecoast MFA program in creative writing at the University of Southern Maine.

More about Michael Maglaras: Michael Maglaras has already had more careers than most people have in a lifetime. Trained as an opera singer in the United States and Europe, he has performed widely as a singer and opera director. Maglaras is the founder of 217 Records and 217 Films; both of which are devoted to creating works that celebrate the American artistic experience.
